Blueberry Sauce

Ingredients:

½cup water (divided)
3tablespoons cornstarch
2cups fresh or frozen blueberries
1cup orange juice
¾cup white sugar
2tablespoons butter
¼teaspoon almond extract
teaspoon cinnamon

Mix together cornstarch and ¼ cup of water. Set aside. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the blueberries, ¼ cup of water, orange juice, and sugar. Bring to a boil. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and simmer gently until thickened (about 3 to 4 minutes). Remove from heat and stir in butter, almond extract, and cinnamon. Thin sauce with more water if too thick. Allow to cool.
