Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
3 | cups all-purpose flour |
1 | teaspoon baking soda |
½ | teaspoon baking powder |
1 | teaspoon salt |
1 | cup butter, room temperature |
1 | cup granulated sugar |
1 | cup brown sugar, packed |
2 | teaspoons vanilla |
2 | eggs |
2 | cups chocolate chips |
Preheat oven to 375° F. Line baking sheets with parchment. Set two racks toward the center of the oven.
Stir together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugars until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, and beat until creamy. Gradually beat in the dry ingredients, then stir in the chocolate chips until distributed evenly.
Ball up about 1½ to 2 tablespoons of dough and place on baking sheet spaced every 3½‑inches. Bake 9 to 12 minutes, swapping racks and rotating baking sheets mid-way through. Remove baking sheets just as the cookies are starting to turn brown. Allow to rest on the baking sheet for 2 minutes, then move to a cooling rack. Yield: about 3 dozen.
